About Me

My name is Stefanie Fitzgerald and I am your School Counselor at CJHS! 

Prior to coming to Coloma I spent almost two decades as an elementary school teacher. I was delighted to be brought on to the CJHS team last year as your school counselor. My educational history includes many fond memories at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign where I received degrees in Psychology and Elementary Education. Thereafter I earned my Masters degree in School Counseling from Lewis University.

When I'm not helping students with their academic, behavioral and/or social-emotional goals, I am at home with my two amazing kids, my husband, our two cats, lizard and two goldfish. 

In my free time I enjoy being outdoors, reading books, having family game nights, and catching up with friends. I am a music aficionado and have a special place in my heart for all things 80s and 90s! 

I look forward to another amazing school year with the students, families, and staff of CCS.
