Welcome!

Welcome to Coloma Junior High!  I am Trudy Hammerschmidt and am in my 32nd year of teaching here in Coloma Community Schools.  I graduated with my teaching degree from Western Michigan University, and have taught 4th, 5th, 6th and 7th grades.  Through my teaching years I have taught in all subject areas, and am currently teaching 6th grade Language Arts and 7th grade Science.  My whole life I've been a Comet, being a graduate of this district back in 1985.

I live in St. Joe with my husband, David, and my son, Jack.  We have two dogs, Tallulah and Bear, and two cats, Mittens and Scooter.  Camping, fishing, gardening, and garage sale hopping are some of my favorite things to do, and I grew up on a fruit farm where I still spend a lot of my time.
