Daniel Mares is the instructional technology specialist at Coloma Junior High. His goal is to assist teachers and students in using the technology available to them to enhance their learning! This is his second year with Coloma Community Schools and he is extremely excited to be a part of this district as the district moves forward. Daniel is a strong believer in the power of technology to enhance educational outcomes, but the technology will not work in isolation. There are many other factors that can help empower and inspire students.

 

Daniel is a Level Two Google Educator and committed to Chromebooks in education. He has personally used a Chromebook for over five years and loves all of the tools that are available in the G Suite of applications and believes in the power of Google's cloud storage. 

 

Previously, Daniel has worked in suburban and urban schools in Michigan and Indiana and holds a professional teaching certificate in Social Studies. Daniel and his family live here in Berrien County.
